Due to the advancement in the technologies of camera and Smartphone, the gap has been narrowed between the digital and Smartphone cameras. But, the question will still remain whether the technological advancement will ever be able to eliminate the difference between digital cameras and Smartphone. Some of the experts have pointed out the difference between the camera and Smartphone in the present market.

  • Image quality : The 8MP quality that is available in the Smartphone does not offer the same quality as it is possible through the higher end or medium end DSLR cameras. If you are planning to shoot certain specific scenario, you will be in need of the equipment that is used by the professional camera and lighting. Your Smartphone will not guarantee you to provide the stunning images or the jaw dropping landscapes.

  • Shutter : Long zooms camera lenses are the main feature of the digital cameras. Smartphone though have a decent optical zoom, but you will not be able to get the close-up as soon as the picture is taken even without losing any quality. The best quality optical zoom will not come up with viable options.

  • Shutter speed : Smartphone cameras have now become the biggest weakness and small movements are possible to capture. You will never be able to capture a bird in flight without making use of the DSLR camera. This is because the shutter speed is Smartphone cameras are lower than that of the DSLR camera.

You can easily understand and point of the difference between the image that is taken with the smart phone or the one taken with the help of the digital SLR camera. The main reason behind the use of Smartphone cameras is that it gives the instant ability to share the image of the social media and therefore, it is becoming more significant in the market.

How to buy digital camera?

When you plan to buy the camera the first thing to consider is the budget and what are the features that you are looking for in the digital camera. If you have the money to buy an expensive camera, then you can have the opportunity to enjoy the features like Face Detection and Movie mode, Live View, but before looking for such outstanding and unique feature, you should understand the purpose of buying the camera. It is possible that you invest the money on buying the extra lens or some specific accessories like the tripod, filters or a flashgun.

In other words, it can be said that it is essential to consider the budget while buying the photographic outfit rather than just choosing the right kind of digital SLR than just a camera and lens. Though, if you are ready to spend more on the camera, you can certainly expect to enjoy more features and have better quality and more resolutions.
